How it Works

Welcome to The Mast, an endless digital tug-of-war where every vote shapes the global state.

Two Factions: Choose to push the mast UP or DOWN.
Pricing: 1.00 EUR or 1.00 USD equals exactly 1 Vote.
Target: The game starts with a target boundary of 50,000 points.
Endless Evolution: If a faction reaches the target, the game does not end! Instead, the target limit multiplies by 2, expanding the boundaries and letting the tug-of-war continue endlessly.
Leave your mark: Every vote of 100 or more leaves a permanent message on the mast at the exact position it was cast. Hover or click dots to read what others had to say.
Fraud Penalty: Fraudulent votes (e.g. chargebacks) are strictly penalized. We will deduct the fraudulent votes with an additional 1.3x penalty multiplier applied to the offending faction's score.
Game End: The game ends when the main score reaches +6. The first faction to achieve this holds the pedestal for 4 years, during which all statistics freeze until the mast is reset.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using this website, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Pricing and Services
The Mast is an interactive entertainment platform. The pricing for participation is strictly 1.00 EUR or 1.00 USD per 1 Vote. Purchasing votes allows you to move the mast and optionally leave a public message (requires a minimum of 100 votes).

3. No Refunds & No Cancellations
All purchases of votes are final, non-refundable, and non-cancellable. Once a payment is processed and a vote is cast, it instantly affects the global state of the game and cannot be undone, withdrawn, or refunded under any circumstances.

4. User Conduct
You agree not to post any abusive, defamatory, or illegal content in your vote messages. We reserve the right to remove any messages that violate these terms without providing a refund.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties
This service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaim all warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability.

6. Governing Law
These terms are governed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the United States.

7. Fraudulent Votes and Penalties
If we detect fraudulent payments, chargebacks, or unauthorized transactions, the associated votes will be deducted. Furthermore, a penalty multiplier of 1.3 will be applied to the deducted amount (e.g., 1,000 fraudulent votes will result in a deduction of 1,300 votes) and the penalty will be visibly recorded against the respective faction.

8. Game End and Reset
The game ends when a faction's score reaches +6. The statistics will then freeze for 4 years, and the winning faction will hold the pedestal for that duration until the mast is reset.

Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection
We collect your email address, IP address, and transaction metadata to process payments, prevent fraud, and generate receipts. We do not store your credit card information directly; this is handled securely by our payment gateway processors.

2. Public Messages & Game Data
Any message you attach to your vote, along with the vote direction and timestamp, is permanently public and visible on the mast. Do not include personal, sensitive, or identifiable information in your public messages, as they cannot be fully anonymized once published.

3. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies and local storage (e.g., to save your light/dark theme preference and maintain CSRF security tokens). We do not use third-party marketing or tracking cookies.

4. Data Sharing & Processors
We only share your data with necessary third-party service providers (such as payment gateways and hosting providers) strictly for the purpose of operating this service. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Retention
Transaction records and emails are kept for legal, tax, and accounting purposes for up to 7 years. Public messages and vote data are retained indefinitely as part of the core game's historical record.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or deletion of your personal data. You may also request a copy of the data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact our support team. Note that deleting your data will not remove your vote's effect on the mast, but we can anonymize or remove your public message upon valid request.
